William “Bill” Ledvina, age 88 of St. Nicholas, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon July 23, 2011, at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba.
Bill was born December 22, 1922 in St. Nicholas the son of Mathew and Philamina (Jisa) Ledvina. He was a lifelong resident of the area and worked as a dairy farmer on the original family farm. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed reading.
Bill is survived by two brothers, Victor (Rose) Ledvina of Gladstone and Elmer Ledvina of Taylor, MI; a sister-in-law Mary Jane Ledvina of Rock and his nieces and nephews, Gerald, Sharon, Richard, Jean, Lois, Mary and Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Matt.
Bill’s family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins. A luncheon will be served following services in the church fellowship hall. Bill will be laid to rest at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
