I Only knew Walter for about one school year, I Transferred from Gladstone to Rapid River schools for a while, I was a new student at Rapid River and not a lot of people were nice to me, but Walter was, Walter and I would talk on the bus ride to and from school everyday, we would talk on and on about everything, he truly was a good friend, one time he even let me borrow a movie to take home, he was a great person, I Eventually switched back to Gladstone schools and we lost contact, Fast forward a year or two I Wake up to find up I won’t be able to talk to him again, My blessings goes out to Walter and his family, I’ll never forget Walters kindness <3

I’m at a loss for words. Walter was such a wonderful young man. I really enjoyed working with him at the Nahma Inn …my prayers to your family

You have our utmost sympathy from the Nahma Inn. There are no words to express our sorrow. We all sure loved Walter at the Inn. God bless you and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    April and family,
My heart is broken for all of you. You’ve been in my thoughts and prayers over the past few days. I’ll continue to pray that you find comfort and peace in the days to come.

I’m at a loss for words right now. I am so very sorry for your loss. Walter was always a sweet and nice person. He would light up a whole room with his presence. He was my little sisters friend, went to the same school as me so I would see him around, and he will be missed. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers and thoughts to you and your family in this difficult time.

Our hearts are heavy with sadness since hearing of Walter’s passing. He was a genuine and kind soul who always made a point to say hello. Several of our students have reached out to express their feelings of loss and share stories of Walter. April, Justin, and Annie, (also Beau, Zane, Odin, and Maddie) you are certainly in our daily thoughts and prayers as you traverse through this difficult time. Please know we are here to support you all always.

Walter will truly be missed by me, Caleb, and am his other friends he made over the years. This is a sad time and I wish the best for his family.

I didn’t really know Walter myself, as he didn’t join my daughter Karmyn’s class at Rapid River, until 5th grade, I think. However, she spoke of him often. She said that he and her would talk about “stuff”. She said that she had told him that if he ever needed to talk to her, that all he needed to do is call or text. I sure wish he would have. I don’t know if it would have helped or not, but if anyone would have listened and been able to empathize with him, she could have. The loss of a child, is a pain that nobody in this world should ever have to endure, and I am so sorry that you have to. I have been praying for you and your family. God Bless

Walter was a great person he always made sure others was ok. It is so sad that he is gone. May he Rest In Peace.
