Dawn, Ralph & family and especially your mom – we are deeply sorry for the loss of your dad and husband – I still remember times at your mom and dad’s home oh so long ago now – and the “slumber party” at the house near the river playing the Four Seasons and Leslie Gore albumns. I know your dad will be missed. I only wish I could be there on Sat. but due to recent surgery I’m unable to attend, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. God’s blessings and peace. Love Linda (Johnson) and Dave Mason

Dearest Edith and Family, I am so sorry for your great loss. You may not remember me, but I was one of your Home Care Aides from MGH. I always looked forward to having you on my schedule. You and Wally always made me feel so at home. He was always such a great help to you and the aides. He was a special person. I just wanted you to know that, Edith. My prayers go out to you and your family. Colleen

    Dear Bill & Jean,
Just talked with you last week about your Dad, you knew this was to be expected, but it doesn’t make it any easier, we know. Don’t believe I ever met your Dad, but he looks like he was a very nice man. Think you have his smile. Know that Patrick & I are thinking about you and your family, and will keep all of your family in prayer…Parents are hard to loose. Peace

I will always cherish Uncle Wally’s quick smile and wonderful laugh. Like Jan, I have great memories of spending time at Uncle Wally and Aunt Edith’s house–it was like a second home to me. I have always been grateful to be part of such a loving family

To Howard, Dawn, Bill and Debbie We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Wally’s passing. He was a great uncle to me and so was Aunt Edith a special aunt. I remember that when my mom, Alma Gasman, would have a baby, we were asked where we wanted to stay while she was in the hospital. I always asked to go to Uncle Wally’s and Aunt Edith’s home. Aunt Edith would send us to Vaugn’s Diner in the morning to get glazed donuts to have with our breakfast. What a treat! and when Barry was born, it was spring and the carnival was in town. Uncle Wally and Aunt Edith took us to the carnival and that was the first time that I even knew that Escanaba had a carnival. What a blast! Those are some of the good memories I have of Uncle Wally. Your family was very special to me. PLease know that I’m thinking of you at this sad time. Sincerely, Jan Kahle
