My heart breaks for you all. He was a VERY special person and such a big “Teddy Bear” with his wonderful hugs, big smile & twinkling eyes. He will definitely be missed. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

So sorry for your loss. “Rosey”, as he was known in the Mine, was such a wonderful, kind, and goodhearted friend. I was shocked and saddened to see his name in the paper last night. Many wonderful memories of him and Anne in White Pine. I only wish I knew he was in the area as I would have made it a point to visit him. R.I.P. Vern .. back with Anne again.

Our acts of kindness and smile will live forever in my heart. My apologises to your family for being unable to attend your funeral, but I will be there in spirit. Love to all of you. Uncle Vernie was truly one of my most favorite people in my life. I thank him and Aunt Bootsie for excepting me into their family.

Losing daddy is the one fear i could never lose. I always knew that we couldn’t keep him forever..but, I never wanted to be without him. I will miss his quiet humor, his bear like hugs, and most of all…the Sunday phone calls that always ended with..”I love you baby”. I will always carry him in my heart.
