Valerie S. Frigard, age 91, went to meet Jesus on Friday afternoon, October 29, 2010, at the Christian Park Health Care Facility in Escanaba.
Valerie was born November 5, 1918, on the family farm in Chatham, the daughter of Edwin and Agnes (Aho) Frigard. At the age of 44, Valerie moved to San Diego, CA and later to National City, CA. In 2002, she relocated to Wells, to be closer to family, and has remained there since. In recent years, Valerie lived in Wells with her nephew,Marvin Johnson and family. Valerie devoted her life to serving others through her belief in Jesus. She worked in the San Diego area and Florida as a cleaning lady for the majority of her life. What an amazing lady Aunt Valerie was….she lit up any room she walked into! I have the most wonderful memories of her…she made yearly visits to us on the farm on Chatham, and I sooo looked forward to them! She taught me about life, love, and most important about the power of prayer…she is now an angel watching over us, having been reunited with my Dad. What stories they have to tell!
