When my Aunt Karen was at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, my parents went to visit her there. I remember staying at Mummu and Papa’s house with my baby sister. Papa always made such a fuss over all his “grandkids “. (I was a great-grandkid.) He always had some jokes to tell us, or for that matter, to play on us! We loved it when we got to use the sauna he built, or when we were allowed to look at their old Sears catalogs from the “Olden Days”.

Toivo was a sweet, gentle man who stole my heart the first day I met him in Lakeview Assisted Living. I enjoyed visiting him on my stops in on my job. Looking into his eyes and listening to him speak, I know he has had a lifetime of love and many memories. I wish him God Speed to be at peace with his Wife and family in heaven, as I know that is where he is. He kept telling me to believe in him. (God) I do… and that’s where I know he now is with family looking over all who are still here that he touched with his love and gentleness.
