Looking back, I remember Steph and the memories that we made; laughs that were shared. But looking forward, I will never forget just how those simple, then maybe insignificant memories have now tought me to cherish all that I hold dear and to know that, with all things in life, tomorrow is not promised. I will try not to grieve with tears, though it is hard and I am angry; but instead let my smile reflect the memories. :o) Steph, you were a “one of kind” friend and just know that you will be greatly missed but never, ever forgotten. And to her family, you are and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all and keep you close.

Steph and I were good friends in high school. I have spent many great times at both her mother’s and father’s homes. As we leave school and venture out on our own, we often lose touch with those that we had such wonderful times with. But, I will always have Steph in my thoughts and memories.

Today 2/21/21-I was thinking of all my friends that are not with me now in my forties. My thoughts drifted back to Steph and was very thankful to the family for providing this space online. Thank you. I met Steph the summer she graduated from high school through a mutual friend Steven Brett Klinger. She was Beaming with light and very unique, not your average young woman. We dated briefly during the last 6 months of 2003, she was the first woman I bought a cell phone for her safety. After we broke up we kept in touch a bit, I moved to the Redwoods to go to college and she started a family. I was invited to the funeral by Kathy and will never forget the beautiful arrangements, the bonfires at the home, the grieving, the hugs, the tears, the friendship. I see why she was so special. Because she came from a very very special family. I flew home 2 days after the service and have never returned to that part of the U.S.. God be with you all, much love. I be Steph’s son is so big now!!!! a little grown man I bet.
