Our mom, Shirley Frazer, age 86, of Gladstone has gone home on November 11, 2023 to be with our dad.
She was born September 20, 1937 to Robert and Flora (Therrian) Moore. She graduated from the Gladstone High School and married William Frazer in 1955. She was a stay at home mom until 1973 when she started working at the Flat Rock School as a custodian eventually moving up to librarian. She valued her family and friends and was very religious, donating her time to the Holy Family Catholic Church and church functions. She retired after 29 years after Flat Rock School closed and spent some time at the Cameron School. She was an avid gardener and proud of her flowers, especially her rhubarb patch.
Shirley is survived by her children, Kathy (Randy) Tyner, Steve (Debbie) Frazer and Mark (Kym) Frazer, all of Gladstone, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also her in-law families, Bob (Nancy) Frazer, Mary Marenger, Pete (Sharon) Frazer, Sue Searle, Mike (Joyce) Frazer, Pat (Sharon) Frazer and Jim (Nancy) Frazer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, sister, Roberta, 3 nephews, 1 grandson and her in-laws, Kathleen, Jeanette and Clifford Frazer, Dick and Mary Frazer, Jerry Searle and Norman Marenger.
All donations can be directed to Friends of Library at the Gladstone Public Library, 300 S. 10th Street, Gladstone, MI 49837.
