Sandra “Sandy” G. Corwin, age 78, of Gladstone, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her home.

 

Sandy was born on March 15, 1945, in Escanaba, the daughter of Leroy and Alma (Anderson) Pettit. She grew up and was a graduate of Gladstone High School. On June 16, 1962, Sandy was united in marriage to Victor Corwin and together they spent 61 wonderful years together.

 

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Victor; children John (Melissa) Corwin of Iron Mountain, Craig (Yvonne) Corwin of Northfield, MN, Jay (Anita) Corwin of Fairbault, MN, and Victoria (Marc) Prechodko of Northfield, MN; sister-in-law Joanne Pearson of Rapid River; grandchildren Jennifer Corwin, Joshua (Kaitlin) Corwin, Cassandra Corwin, Koy (Carolyn) Corwin, Ray Corwin, Michael Corwin, Jacob Corwin, Stone Prechodko, Layne Prechodko, Shanna Prechodko, Gabrielle (Shawn) Mason, Macy Prechodko, Oliver Prechodko, Kelly Corwin, Laura Pinson, Jayleen (Juve) Corwin, Zack Corwin, and Brooke Corwin; several great-grandchildren; special friends Glenda Godfrey, Daryl (Rose) Jones, and David and Jane Jones; Mitch Guenette whom she loved like a grandson; as well as her beloved yorkie dog, Maggie Mae.

 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Gladys (Raymond) Sundquist, Signe (Walter) Gobert, and Marie (Floyd) Dabney; and brother Victor (Joanne) Pearson.

Private services honoring Sandy will be held. Sandy will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
