Sandra Lee Kasel, age 81, of Rapid River passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Sandi was born February 12, 1942 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Larry and Laverne Armstrong. She attended school in Waukesha, Wisconsin and graduated in 1960. She was united in marriage to Matt Kasel on September 1, 1990 in Escanaba.
Sandi was an amazing lady, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always kind, the greatest cook, artistically talented and she had a great sense of humor. Sandi passed away peacefully with her husband and all her children around her. She will be missed and was a blessing to so many.
Sandi is survived by her husband, Matt Kasel of Rapid River, children, Dan (Ellen) Kotowski, Patrick Kotowski, Shannon (Cary) Micheau, Becky (Mark) Porter, Crystal (Rich) Glen; 9 grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, Andrew, Lauren, Max, Daniel, Mason, Cassidy and Kadie,1 great-grandchild, Harper; siblings, Carol (Raymond) Dziak, Patricia (Tony) Deleon, Vernice (Jerry) Lancour and Jeff (Stephanie) Armstrong and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded by her parents, Laverne and Larry Armstrong.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM with Fr. William Ssozi officiating. A dinner reception will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Parish Hall, 7860 River Street, Rapid River.
