Even though I haven’t been back to Escanaba for years, when I received the notice in the mail that Rose has passed away, I felt moved to write something here. Rose was always very very kind to me, and was very supportive when I was in Players and trying to raise my kids at the same time! Condolences to the Coplan family for the loss of such a beautiful matriarch.

Diane and Susie:
Your mom’s exuberance for life was contagious. She bubbled over with it. Always a smile; always a kind word; always a laugh. I think that’s the way many of us will remember her. I hope memories like that will give you peace and comfort.

To my dearest extended family
Words can not describe the feeling I have inside for the beautiful person your mother was. She was a very delightful person and I have learned so much from her in the months of my caring. I feel I have been given a great gift by becoming a part of her life and will carry on everything I have been given by her onto my family. What a wonderful person she was and to be a part of her life has been very exciting for me.
Sue, Diane, Heather, and family…. you were very lucky to have her for so many years. Cherish all the wonderful times and keep them dear to your heart. I will always remember you and the time we had. My love goes out to all of you and hope that in time, the hurt in your heart will be lessen.
Anytime you are in need of someone to talk to or even a night out Sue, please don’t hesitate to call or come over. I’ll be thinking of you all.
Love

Susie and Diane,
I am so sorry for your loss. Growing up in the neighborhood with your family was wonderful. Rose was radiant and she exuded kindness and goodness. I never saw her without that special smile and I always enjoyed listening to the stories when she came over for coffee with Nana and my Mom. I think of those days often.
My best to you.

Sue, Diane, Heather and family! So sorry for your loss of your beautiful mother and grandmother. She will surely be missed. Our grandkids feel so bad for you all also. We loved having her come over and sit outside for awhile when she was healthier and then even towards the end opening the window just to holler hi to us all. I found this poem and thought you might find some comfort in it. It is called Hugs From Heaven!
When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It’s a hug sent from Heaven
From your mother way up high.
If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
She’s added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.
If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It’s a hug sent from Heaven
From your Mother up above.
If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird’s chirping song
It’s music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.
If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It’s a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.
So keep the joy in your heart
If you’re lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.

My sympathy goes out to the family. Rosie was always so kind and generous to my brother and I when we were young. My Grandmother, Millie, cleaned Rosie’s house for years. She was a wonderful person who will truly be missed.

Diane & Sue, So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I don’t often get on the Escanaba Press website but for some reason I thought to tonight and read about Rose. I have many fond memories of your parents. I especially recall the laughs we had over our “martini” experience. Know that you and your family are in our prayers. Denise & Chris

Diane and Suzie, we all know your Mom was the very best. She used to grab bullies by the ears, and then take Joel home. A time for sadness and a time to remember all the good!! Love always, Gary Kleiman.
