Roger Micheau Sr., 76, of 410 Wisconsin Ave., passed away peacefully early Friday morning, Feb. 4, 2011, at his residence in Gladstone.
Roger was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Rapid River, the son of Joseph Sr. and Adelia (King) Micheau.
Roger was raised in Rapid River and graduated from the Rapid River High School.
Early in his life, Roger developed a natural love of music.

He later went on to play in popular local bands such as “The Ranch Hands,” “Blue Legends,” “New Blue Legends and the “Coppertones.” Roger’s love of music continued by learning how to play the piano in his later years. Additionally, Roger was very proud to have played with professional musicians, Frankie Yankovic and Moe Bandy.
On July 26, 1973, Roger was united in marriage to the former Carol Balthazore, in Escanaba. Roger and Carol made their home and raised their family in Gladstone.
Roger was employed by Harnischfeger Corporation and enjoyed woodworking, listening to and playing music and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.
