3 Tributes for “Robert Revers

I wanted to write this note on behalf of Bob Revers- A very good friend of over 50 years-. We went to Grade school together @St. Alphonsus in Greendale: rode our bikes, worked paper routes together. I recall his mom picking us up to deliver the Sunday paper early. It was so cold that she had the coffeepot heating up in the car to keep us all warm as we delivered the paper. Bob and I played baseball, basketball, football and of course went Fishing for many years. We used to watch Star Trek and funny shows. He had an incredible sense of humor. Finally, He will truly be missed. Apologies that I will not be able to attend his Funeral and Memorial. Respectfully,

I cannot think about Escanaba without remembering Bob, whether it is grilling food in his backyard, playing with his dogs, or walking by the rock quarry behind his house, these memories fill me with a certain warmth we associate with the best times of our lives, the times we look back on with fondness as being free and happy. Bob will be missed, and we will remember him as a great friend and a great man.

Bob was my oldest and dearest friend, after almost 50 years of friendship, to the people who could’nt see beyond his faults you missed knowing a caring and beautiful person, he was always there for me during my hard times,a more faithful friend won’t be found and I will miss him the remainder of my life.

I got to know Robert February of 2009 when I became his House Keeper. Robert has a great love for all animals big and small. He loved taking his 3 dogs for their daily walk. Robert has a big heart and is a very caring person. He loved when I brought McDonalds or Taco Bell to surprise him for lunch. Through the months Robert and I became good friends. I could not have asked for a better person to work for.

I have just learned of Bobs’ passing now almost 10 years ago! ….I am so sad to hear he has left this world suddenly.
I was just looking him up when I discovered he has passed away. So many years have passed since we were together for our
short time together in the later 1970s’ when he moved to MI and we lost contact. Such a pivotal time in my life!
A flood of memories have come back to me for the times we did spend together, so i am in deep morning now.
I can now feel the pain of how life goes by and you miss certain people in your life and how much you really loved them.
We are all in a Journey with life. God Bless you Bob and hope we can meet again someday! I have our memories in my heart!
