Dear Nicholas family, So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I’ve known Bob all my life growing up on N. 15th St. I always enjoyed his stories and ‘visiting’ his garden, bringing him rhubarb so Betty could make pie.

So glad we were able to stop in when we were home and see him one last time at his beautiful place that he maintained lovingly. Bob was the last of the original residents of N. 15th and he will be missed and thought of dearly each time we drive by.

We want to express our deepest sympathy to all of your family. I have fond memories of the times I was in your home. Your dad was a very kind and caring person and I know he will be missed by all. I want you to know that we will be praying for all of you that God will give you peace and comfort in the days ahead. Our love to all of you.

Dear Brian—I am working out of town so just heard about your Dad yesterday. Want to send my condolences and let you know how much his presence at AA meetings meant to me early in my sobriety. He was one of the old timers that helped a lot of people like me, simply with his easy way of sharing his experiences. Hope you will get some comfort in knowing for sure that he helped a lot of folks.

Dear Aunt Betty and Family, Our sincere and heartfelt condolences are yours. We will miss visiting Uncle Bob, as we have many times through the years. We pray for him, and for all of you, knowing that God’s plan for our life and death and recovery in heaven is known to Him only. May peace be with you, and take some solace in the fact that he was loved greatly by many, and went to see his Father peacefully. I also offer the Serenity Prayer in his honor, and it’ll give me more special meaning and observance by doing so in my daily routine. It’ll also be a mark of great family remembrance that he passed on our 35th wedding anniversary. May the light and the way guide him forevermore now, as he sought this in loving life.
