Robert Joseph Miron, age 84, of Hermansville, passed away Friday April 22, 2011 at the Dickinson County Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
Robert was born October 22, 1926 to Joseph and Inez (Osier) Miron in Perkins. Robert served in the U.S. Army during WW II with the 242nd Infantry Battalion in Germany and Austria from 1946-1949. From 1950-1951 he served in Korea, with the 304th Signal Battalion HQCO.

Robert returned from Korea to marry Betty Beauchamp in 1951. He lived and worked in Milwaukee until moving to Powers in 1972. After Betty passed away in 1999, Robert married Mary Fiers in 2003.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary; 2 daughters, Bonnie (Dale) LaPalme of Hermansville. Connie (Robert) Musser of Ionia, MI. 3 Step sons: Lance (Tammy) Yunk of Palmer. Mike Yunk of Gwinn, Ken (Theresa) Yunk of Ishpeming. 3 Sisters: Rita Gudwer, Carol Parrett and Ellenore Sorenson. 17 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grand children, 1 great-great grandson, 42 nieces and nephews, and over 100 great and great great nieces and nephews.
