I have wonderful memories of Mr. Leveille, from when I was a child. I spent a lot of time at there home, and did a lot of canoeing with their son Dan. He always welcomed us with a smile and a laugh, and left a lasting impression upon me.

Dear Shirley and family
Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I spent many years at the sofa fountain for lunch while working at the eye doctor’s office. My husband would meet me there and we would spend our lunch hour chatting with Bob and Ruby. Many many laughs and much information was shared. Will always remember Bob for his smile and his willingness to help anyone. What a great guy. Keep all those memories close to your heart. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

I am sorry to hear of Bob”s passing. It seems like yesterday when Bob and my father had a business close to each other. My father held a very high opinion of Bob as a merchant and a person, as did I.

Even though it’s been over fifty years since I saw Bob, I vividly remember him as he shared an apartment with Ron Castle while attending Ferris. I and Cy Frolich shared the apartment next to Bob and Ron. My recollection of Bob was one of a guy who was always smiling and was just a great guy. There is a void in my heart tonight.

To Shirley and Family – You know that we are thinking of you and that our Prayers are sent your way. We are so sorry that we cannot be present tomorrow, as we are in the middle of my right hip-replacement – Sept 30. We will get over to visit and have lunch as soon as I can walk and drive, hopefully soon. Your selection of picture with Bob’s smiling face is SUPER – We send our Love Sharon and Ron

Dear Shirley,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s death. My heart and my prayers go out to you. We saw you just last week and Bob still had that wonderful smile and that gentle sense of humor that were his trademark. Bob was truly a special person – always smiling, always helpful, always gentle and a gentleman. Ed and I will miss him greatly.
May God hold you and comfort you in your loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the family. We were neighbors and I was a childhood friend to Hughie. I remember playing over in their yard during some summertime night games.
My father’s law office was located directly over the drugstore downtown and if I needed to wait for him too long, he would send me down to the drugstore counter for a soda while waiting. Mr. Leveille would always visit with me at the counter and was always very kind.

We mourn the passing of our good friend whom had known for over half-a century. He was a collegemate of both of us, and he was married to one of our good friends from Ferris for many years. We valued their friendship very much. Bob was indeed a “gentle man” in every sense of the word. We shall miss him very much.

Not too long ago I spoke with Bob after daily Mass. We were saying how great it was that he and my daughter Anne, also a colon cancer victim, could remain so upbeat. Bob told me that when he listens to the part of the Our Father that Fr. Arnie interjects when we all pray it together at Mass, the part that says “protect us from all anxiety” that he is filled with peace and so grateful that he has not been anxious.
Bob was a good and gentle man. I will miss seeing him and visiting with him both at Mass and in the chemo room. God be with all at this time of sorrow.
