I was sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I loved working with him at the Red Owl while I was in college. Whenever we got back to Gladstone I made the stop into Dick’s Star Grocery. Had to have his potato sausage! He was so very kind.

It gives me much comfort to know you are surrounded by family and friends who will with the help of your faith get you through this sad and painful time. My only regret is that I can’t be with you to extend my love, understanding and support. I have been where you have been and know what you are going through now. My heart aches for you. I was grateful for your email explaining your circumstances; at least I was prepared for what was coming. I am so lost for words so will end with this simple verse:
Those we Love remain with us, for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade, because one loved is gone. Those we Love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there’s a memory, they live on in our heart.
