I was sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I loved working with him at the Red Owl while I was in college. Whenever we got back to Gladstone I made the stop into Dick’s Star Grocery. Had to have his potato sausage! He was so very kind.

I am very sorry to hear about Richard’s passing. “Mr Thompson” was a CCD teacher of mine quite a while ago at St Anthony church. He was a great teacher and he still said hello when I would see him around town. My condolences to your family.

    Dear Kay
Again, I find you mourning the loss of a loved one, your beloved partner in life, Dick. It gives me much comfort to know you are surrounded by family and friends who will with the help of your faith get you through this sad and painful time. My only regret is that I can’t be with you to extend my love, understanding and support. I have been where you have been and know what you are going through now. My heart aches for you. I was grateful for your email explaining your circumstances; at least I was prepared for what was coming. I am so lost for words so will end with this simple verse:
Those we Love remain with us, for love itself lives on. Cherished memories never fade, because one loved is gone. Those we Love can never be, more than a thought apart, for as long as there’s a memory, they live on in our heart.
With Sympathy, Love and Prayers, your friend, Pam

Having Dick as a true and caring friend for many years, his catchy laughter and the twinkle in his eye will be forever mirrored in my heart. His beautiful wife and family are a true tribute to the way Dick lived his good Christian life. I had Dick on my prayer chain but now instead of praying for him, I will continue to pray to Him. He truly was
a good man who was blessed by God.

    Dear Kay and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. I always looked forward to seeing you both at your store each week after my kids were done bowling. Not only was there the best meat selection in town, but the best conversation too. Dick was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed.

Kay and Family. Dick made a big impact on me growing up with all the little words of wisdom through the years. I worked at Red Owl after dick did but he left some big shoes to fill. My fondest memories of dick were going into the Star Market to pick up meat for Mom and talking about Gene and the gang he worked with at Red Owl. Kay we will keep you in our thoughts and Prayers and we will never forget Dick and how special he was! Thinking of you always. John and Karen Pickard.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. My dad really loved the both of you, and both Toni and Tyler have wonderful memories of the 4th of July with you. To this day, Tyler refuses to go to the Gladstone festivities because it would never be as it once was. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you at this difficult time, and I hope my dad was there to welcome him and that they are smiling at their reunion; so very sweet of you to mention him in the write-up. Much love and many prayers to you.
