Ray A. Jensen, age 62, of Gladstone, passed away at his home Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

Ray was born January 11, 1958 in Escanaba, MI, the son of Robert and Ellen (Roueche) Jensen.

Ray grew up in Gladstone, MI where he met his highschool sweetheart Anne Leonardi. Ray and Anne were married on May 7th, 1977 in Escanaba, MI.

In 1981 Ray, Anne, and new daughter Audrey, moved to Colorado Springs, CO where Ray worked as a machine operator at Howland Machine. He later became Operations Manager at the same company.

In 1997 Ray and family returned to Gladstone, MI where Ray worked as a Supervisor at Lakeside Machine. A few years later Ray joined the Kennametal workforce as an Applications Engineer until his retirement.

Ray enjoyed his retirement spending time fishing, camping, boating, and traveling the U.S. on Motorcycle.

1 Son: Sam (Melissa Aguilar) Jensen of Travelers Rest, SC
1 Daughter: Sister Audrey Jensen of Greensburg, PA
3 Brothers: Rob Jensen of Rapid River, MI
Dave (Sara) Jensen of Appleton, WI
Dan Jensen of Gladstone, MI
3 Sisters: Julie (Larry) Andreini of The Villages, FL
Laura (Paul) Lapine of Gladstone, MI
Jane (Ron) Brow of Marquette, MI
And several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Ray was preceded in death by his Parents and Wife, Anne Jensen.

Family will receive friends Monday, June 29, 2020 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 4:30 PM at All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. Ray will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Emma Monastery or the Delta County Cancer Alliance. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Jensen family.

    Rest in peace Ray! I sure enjoyed working with Ray at Kennametal and was blessed a couple of times with his visits when he passed through SD.

    I always felt better after an encounter with Ray. He had such a comforting, compassionate spirit. Rest In Peace, Ray.

    A beautiful soul left us to be with his wonderful wife, Ann. I will miss his awesome smile, great sense of humor, and enormous kind heart. I have so many fond memories. Ray, you will be deeply missed!

    My condolences to the Family of Ray and Anne. Both were wonderful people. Both gone too soon. Ray is now with the love of his life. May he rest in peace.

    Robert and Ellen did a fine job raising their children to be some of the most compassionate adults I have ever met. Ray will be missed.

    Ray you will be missed brother! A man with a big heart and even bigger smile! You always took good care of my sister Anne and I take comfort in knowing you two are back together again. May you rest in Gods arms! Our prayers go out to Sam and Sister Audrey and all the Jensen’s. All our love.

    So sorry to hear of Ray’s passing. He was a coworker and sometimes my boss at Howland. Smart, fair, very helpful to me, and a practical man. Very proud of his family, Ann was also a joy to know. To all of his family I am so sorry for your loss. He was one of the good guys!
