I am sorry we could not attend the funeral services. As you know, Ralph III and I were good friends during high school and I had the opportunity to spend a week at the the small cabin in Curtis where Ralph III and I caught many perch and had a great fish dinner prepared by grandma Dollhopf.
Ralph inspired me to work on several road projects during my college summer vacations and later complete my education as a civil engineer.

Dear Joanne and family,As a child I remember his cabin in Curtis when Great-Grandma Dollhopf and I spent the summer visiting Uncle Ralph and Aunt Hazel when my mother was very ill. Being only 7 years old, I was very enamored of my older, handsome cousin, Bud (Ralph). He was kind and caring and even though I didn’t see him much after that, Mom and Dad always kept me posted as to his experiences. I’ll always remember that summer and Bud.
