Penny, I just heard and am so sorry for yours and the families loss. When I think back at all the extra’s Paul did for me and the center it makes me smile. How about the time he put up all that black paper on the ceiling so we could make a “giant spider web” for the children…not his most favorite job! but he did it with a smile! He will be missed, please take comfort in all the good he has done for others. You are all in my thought and prayers.

My name is Joshua McAtee, and I was a Coast Guard inspector out of Sturgeon Bay until March this year. I wanted you to know that Paul’s family and friends will be in my prayers. My shipmates and I always looked forward to working with Upper Lakes Coal because it meant we got to spend time with Paul. He always liked to give us a hard time, talk about the walleye (or lack of somedays), and make us laugh. We were never able to leave Upper Lakes without smiles on our faces. He was one of the best to work with and will be missed. God Bless.
