Patricia J. Shampo, age 87, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, April 28, 2024, at Murray’s Country View in Gladstone.
Patricia was born September 2, 1936, in Escanaba, the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Creten) Shampo.
Patricia spent a good portion of her life as a Merchant Marine, sailing the Great Lakes on Iron Ore ships, for Inland Steel. She loved being on the water and worked primarily as a Chef while on the ships.
She was loved and will be deeply missed.

Son: Jerry Dean Rein of Toronto
Daughters: Joy Denise (Matt) Mills of Olympia, WA
Jacquelynn Danielle (Bill Rowe) Rein of Federal Way, WA
Patricia is further survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Her dearly loved parents, Francis and Margaret and her brother, James preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Patricia will be held at the convenience of her family.
