We are very sorry for the loss of your mother. I saw her last fall at Walmart; She looked beautiful!I would never have guessed the end of her life was so near. It`s so sad that she had to endure so much.

I don’t think I ever saw Monnie without that 1000 watt smile. I worked for her and Punch at the Gladstone A&W in the 70s, and Dan worked with Punch at the mill, we visited them at their homes, and I got some great decorating ideas from them. She was always so positive and upbeat. We have lost a wonderful neighbor and friend, but I’m sure heaven is a little brighter with her up there smiling down at us.

Monnie was a very special person. I have known her for years. My grandparents on my Mother’s side lived on the Skelton Road. I’m not sure you know this, but after graduation we took the 400 (4 girls) and went to Milwaukee to find work. She got so lonesome for “Punch” she came home after a few days. Every time I would see her we would laugh about that. She always had a beautiful smile and that little giggle. Celebrate her spirit and keep her memories alive always. I know your hearts are breaking with sadness right now. My sympathy to all of you, also Sarah and Jim (cousins) God Bless.

Thinking of you all as you have the services for your mom. Remembering all the fun times our parents had together when we were growing up, and especially building the cabins at Round Lake. I have great memories of your fun loving mom at our cabin, and I can picture her swimming in front of our cabin each evening with her dog. Also nice memories of our dads helping each other saw lumber and building the stone fireplaces. Now they are together again–imagine the laughter! God Bless you all.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of my cousin Monnie. She was a joy to be around. I remember the fun and laughter when we were together. She also helped my Dad when he got sick. Brought a smile to his face. God bless the family. You have a lot of good memories to share.

Sending my love and thoughts to the family of Cousin Monnie. She made me smile and enjoy the moments that we did spend together. The gathering of the cousins in the summer at Sharon’s camp was such great fun. Enjoyed Cindy’s songs. Celebrate her life with great joy.

Monnie’s memory will always be with me. I met her in 1953 and were friends ever since even though I had left Rapid River for years. I tried to visit her as often as I could. God Bless Monnie and her family.

To Monies family. It is a sad day today. I just want to say how much your mom meant to us. I did art classes at her house. She always called me one of the little people. She will be missed by many. We are in Florida, so won’t be able to be there.

To Monnie’s family: I can’t tell you how much your mother will be missed, even to those of us who didn’t see her very often. I still consider her one of my best friends even though we’ve been separated by time and miles for many years. The world will be a darker place without Monnie here to brighten it. You have my deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss, though they were older I remember them well growing up in Rapid River. My prayers to the family, may the memories of Monnie keep your heart warm and the hope of seeing her again give you comfort and peace.

What a lady! She was one in a million. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathies go out to the family. I’ll always remember the funny story she told about buying chicken at Ray’s Market (she told it at my folks’ retirement party and at their 50th anniversary party – I have it on VCR tape somewhere). She and Punch are together again. In the meantime, she’s sorely missed here on Earth.

Such a lovely and talented lady. Monnie loved life, her family, children and pets. She shall be remembered as one of the “beautiful” people who had an impact on many. We feel blessed having had an opportunity to know her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

Monnie was a great inspiration to us all. She believed in her art students and helped us as individuals to challenge our ability to paint with our hearts. I will cherish the many stories, laughs and tears we have had over the years. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Peace to your family Monnie. Love you always!

To the family of Monnie “Mono” as I have affectionately called her forever. My heart was so heavy and so sad on Saturday when I heard she passed. I am so happy that I saw her not too long ago and had a nice visit. Always being the optimistic one AND realistic – she told me that day that she had fought the fight, but the fight was over! I want her family to know how much I’ve always loved Monnie and Punch. Ive always felt like one of her “kids”. I worked for them for 6 years and grew up with them sort of. She was one of the most fun, creative, thoughtful and caring people I have ever known. She made a big difference in my life. I love you Mono and will miss you until we see each other again some day!…Rest in peace beautiful lady – I’m so glad you’re reunited with Punch. To the family – rely on each other and ALL of your wonderful memories to get you through these unbearable days to come….I love you all.
