Michael L. Spargo, age 41, of Gladstone, passed away unexpectedly from heart complications on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at UP Health Systems in Marquette.

Mike was born April 20, 1979 and resided in Gladstone, MI, the son of Roger and Ellen (Oberle) Spargo.

Mike could always be found tinkering with old cars and working on engines. You knew Mike was around when you could hear an engine being revved up or tires squeeling! He had a laugh most will never forget. Family and friends meant the world to him. He especially adored his nephews. Mike loved his job with New Wave delivering medications to nursing homes and hospitals throughout the U.P.

Daughter: Sierra Spargo of Massachusetts
Son: Dakota Spargo of Hermansville
Mother: Ellen Spargo of Gladstone, MI
2 Sisters: Corrina (Matthew) Anderson of Dunbar, WI
Susan Gerischer of Grand Marias, MN
Nephews: Zachary and Aiden Anderson
Significant Other: Krystal Snow

Michael was preceded in death by his Father, Roger Spargo.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 5682 23.5 Chaison Road, Gladstone, MI beginning at 3pm. Family is asking those with old cars or motorbikes to please bring them along. The celebration will take place outside so please bring a chair be mindful of social distancing with the family. Feel free to bring a dish to pass. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Spargo family.

    It was an honor to be able to work beside you and Mike at New Wave. Though briefly. All 3 of you had contagious personalities that one could not forget. I pray that your aching will ease and you are able, at that time to remember his laughs, hugs, and sense of humor.

    Krystal and family…I send my condolences and hugs in this time of need….Mike was a great friend, great guy…he will be greatly missed here

    I have no words that will ease the sting of this loss. But I will say Mike had a huge heart and I am grateful to have had him in my life, though it was brief. I will never forget him helping with my car troubles and the laughs we shared through texts. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

    The nurses here at War Memorial Hospital LTC are giving are sincere condolences to the family, friends and co- workers of Mike. He delivered our medications always with a big smile even during some of the roughest weather always giving us the latest “update” of the road conditions! We were shocked and dearly saddened like the rest of you to hear of his loss and will be thinking of you all in our prayers.

    Rest in peace dad! I love you and ill miss you. I know you’re in heaven looking down and protecting me. Tell grandpa I said hello, and I hope you’re surrounded by all the old cars you could ever imagine. I love you dad, rest in peace ❤
