Mary Ann Elise Marcella, 74, of 8399 CR 426 L Road, Cornell, MI died, of cancer, Wednesday morning May 12, 2004 at her home in Cornell.
Mary Ann was born in Gladstone January 15, 1930, the only child of Clifford and Leona (Methot) Chroge. She lived most of her life in the Delta County area and graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1948. Mary Ann then went on to attend nursing school at St. Anthony

I first met Mary Ann when I began teaching CCD at Holy Family in 1973. I was intimidated by her at first, because she was obviously a very well educated and proud person. As I got to know her over the years, I found her to be a very warm, caring and honest person. She is also one of the hardest working people I have ever met. I have learned a lot from her through the years and gained a very deep respect for her. I will miss her dearly, as I know many others will. I am proud to call her my friend.
