Mary L. Friedmann, age 77, passed away early Friday morning, November 26, 2021, at her home in Soo Hill with her husband Bob by her side.

Mary was born on July 12, 1944, in Escanaba, the daughter of Wilfred and Marian (Froberg) Blair. She was raised in Gladstone and was a 1963 graduate of Gladstone High School. On August 10, 1968, Mary was united in marriage to Robert Friedmann, at All Saints Catholic Church, and together the couple made their home and raised their family primarily in Soo Hill. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband Bob, Mary is survived by:
Sons: Michael, Robert (Suzanna), and Steven Friedmann
Brother: Jim (Vicky) Blair
Sister: Nancy (Milford) Young
Sister in law: Kathy Blair
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Wilfred and Marian, Mary was preceded in death by:
Brothers: Robert and John Blair

Mass of Christian Burial, to celebrate the life of Mary L. Friedmann, will be held on Thursday, at 11:00AM, at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba with Rev. Fr. Rick Courier officiating. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.

    Mary Lou it was my pleasure to know you. We lost a bright shining star when you passed. Your attitude was always so positive, and therefore contagious. My heart goes out to Bob and the family. I’m so sorry.
