Mary A. Lessard, age 90, of Gladstone, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Christian Park Center.

Mary was born January 26, 1931, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of August and Agnes (Seymour) Bulchak. Mary was united in marriage to Kenneth Lessard on October 22, 1951 and had one daughter, Susan.

Mary was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was also on the funeral committee for luncheons. Mary worked at Swanson’s Hardware, then at First Bank until she retired.

She was a beautiful seamstress making all her daughters’ prom dresses and most of her everyday clothes. Mary and Kenny had a swimming pool. At lunch, the kids would come home and swim in the pool. Mary stood as a lifeguard not knowing she didn’t know how to swim. After retirement Mary, Barb Gendron, Carole Gabrielson, and Elaine Pokensky would go out to lunch every Thursday.

Mary is survived by:
Daughter: Susan Timmer of Gladstone, MI
2 Grandchildren: Lee Timmer of Gladstone, MI
Liberty Timmer of Marinette, WI
And many Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to her Parents, Mary is preceded in death by:
Husband: Kenneth Lessard
Brother: Roland Bulchak
Sisters: Geraldine Londo and Shirley Larsen

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. A funeral service will follow visiting hours at 3:00 PM with Rev. Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mary will be laid to rest at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells, MI. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Lessard family.
