I ran into Mark outside of SuperValu about 3 weeks ago. We had a nice chat, he introduced his dog and we went about our busy ways. Since that day he often “popped” into my thoughts. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. I am so sorry for your loss of Mark. From grade school thru high school he was never without a Hi and a smile. Judy Berg Anderson

Hi everyone. It’s Robin and I am still in shock as I’m sure all of you are. I felt so fortunate to of had Mark in my life these last 10 to 15 years. We shared parenting ideas, life lessons ans so much more each time he sat in my chair at the salon. I feel so blessed to also of gone on a recent kayak trip w/ he and Connie. We had a great time. You should all know that Mark inspired me to put a note on my refrigerator when I was diagnosed w/ cancer a few months ago. I thought it was great and it really was something I would say. The quote was “—- you cancer,I win!” He said that’s what he had done and that’s what worked for him to fight his battle. Mark was certainly a great friend and I will be very lost without him. Please know that I am w/ all of you in thought and prayer. Love Robin

My deepest sympathy to the Scheffer family. I have known Mark most of my life and have worked with him for the past 16 years. So many fond memories come into my head, especially the backyard 3rd shift get togethers. Mark was one of the kindest, most thoughtful person I have ever known and I will miss him deeply. I will be forever grateful that he was a part of my life, not only as a co-worker but as a friend. I am deeply sorry for your loss and he will be missed by everyone that knew him…he was truly a great person.
