Wight, Marilyn Elizabeth, age 76, of Escanaba, MI passed away peacefully at her home on January 28, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Marilyn enjoyed 57 years of marriage to her husband, Robert. She was the loving mother to five children: Ed (Mary) Wight, Cathy (Robert) Blalock, Sandy (Bill) Kanerva, Sue (Kelly) King, Joe (Cathy) Wight and the much loved grandmother of 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid fisherperson, never missed a Tigers game, having tea with friends, loved going for boat rides, Christmas baking, planning birthday parties, volunteering at church, being at camp and was never too busy to help others. She was a woman of faith that lead by example and taught her children to live a life of honesty, integrity, and compassion.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Anderson officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall of the Covenant Church in Gladstone. Marilyn will be laid to rest in the South Ford River Cemetery.
