Lorraine Moreau, age 88, of Gladstone passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at A New Dahn Rising Assisted Living.
 
Lorraine was born November 27, 1934 in Masonville Township, Michigan, the daughter of August and Jennie (Maki) Karasti. She graduated from Rapid River High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Thomas Moreau on June 14, 1958 at All Saints Church in Gladstone. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone and was a member of the Quilting Club. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing cards, spending time with her grandkids and volunteering as a reading buddy at school.
 
Lorraine is survived by her children, Jeff Moreau of Gladstone, Kari (Dave) Fassbender of Gladstone and Blair (Amy) Moreau of Montague, MI, grandchildren, Dominic (Jamie) Moreau, Madeline (Chris Adams) Moreau, Adam (Nikki) Chouinard, William (Michelle) Chouinard, Alaina (Rowan) Leo, Katarina Moreau and Gabriella Moreau, great grandchildren, Sam, Charlie, Lance and Freya Chouinard, siblings, Milly Stenlund of Rapid River and Joanne Karasti of Green Bay, WI and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by husband, her parents, daughter-in-law, Cara (DeGrand) Moreau and siblings, Gladys Roberts, Irene Malnor, LaVerne Brannstrom and Lennea Kerns.
 

The Moreau family would like to offer a special thank you to OSF Hospice (especially Nicole and Meagan) for the care she received at A New Dahn Rising.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Elisabeth Daniels officiating. A luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall. Lorraine will be laid to rest in the Rapid River Cemetery.
