Leslie F. Varino, age 90, of 320 N. 15th Street, Escanaba, passed away Tuesday June 14, 2011 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba where he currently was a resident.
Leslie was born April 10, 1921 in Rock, MI the son of Frank and Anne (Krouth) Varino. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School. Leslie was united in marriage to the former Eleanor Spitzer on September 19, 1959 and they made their home in Escanaba.
Leslie was employed as a salesman for the Jewel Tea Company for many years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the St. Joseph/St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Escanaba Eagles. His hobbies included playing golf.
Survivors include his son, David Varino of Escanaba and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, his wife, Eleanor on March 8, 2009 and his brother, Millard Varino, preceded Leslie in death.
