Today Our Lord has taken our Mother Leila E. Moser home where she is at peace. She was a strong believer of her Catholic faith and said her rosary daily. Leila was born January 9, 1915 in St. Jacques. She was the daughter of Omer and Florestine (Sabourin) Groleau. She was the second child of a family of sixteen children and was raised in St. Jacques
On August June 25, 1939 Leila married Walter Moser of Rapid River at St. Lawrence Church, St. Jacques. They made their home north of Rapid River where they raised there family and farmed for many years. Her husband Walter passed away on September 16, 1993.
Leila had worked as a cook for the Rapid River Schools and owned and operated the Moser Store and Gas Station. She was a member of St Charles Borremeo Catholic Church and was a choir member for many years. She was also a member of the Rapid River American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and bowling.
Cliff and Brenda,
Please accept my sympathies. Although I never knew your mom, I did know your father, Walt. He and your Uncles Carl and Del worked with my father at different times many years ago.
You and I attended school together many, many years ago.
Again please accept my best wishes for your family.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of a very fine lady. She was very special and we got to know her well while at St. Charles parish. We regret we cannot be with you to express our condolescences personally, but, please know that we are with you in prayer and spirit. May God bless you all.
With warmest regards,
Deacon Bill and Chetti Green
Sauk City, WI
I want to send my sympathy to the family and friends. Having grown up in the area I remember Leila and the famiy. We know she is at her Heavenly reward, what joy to be setting at the feet of Jesus when we are celebrating his Birth. She was a great Lady and will be sadly missed.
