Lauraine Jungles

Resided in Gladstone, MI
Died April 12, 2008

Lauraine Marie Jungles, age 88, of 604 Railway Avenue in Gladstone passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at her residence.
Lauraine was born October 16, 1919 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to John and Rose (Schmitt) Marek. She was united in marriage to Richard Jungles on May 16, 1942. She was a devoted catholic and a longtime member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone. Lauraine was a special person to all who knew her. She met a stranger but once, and had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome and at home. She touched the hearts of many people with the warmth of her smile. Driven by her strong faith, and family, Lauraine was a woman of strength and hope. Her talents truly were limitless; gifts were especially endearing because of the touch of her creativity. She enjoyed knitting and crafting for her family and friends, and gifts that were once given are now treasures to those who hold them. Visitors were often greeted with a hug and deck of cards. She enjoyed playing cards and the conversations that ensued. Though many tears will be shed, she will easily be remembered with a smile.

Special thanks to Father Arnold Grambow, Sister JoAnne and to all others who brought her communion to her home.

Lauraine is survived by:

2 Sons: Jim (Jean) Jungles of Cornell, MI, Joe (Pam) Jungles of Gladstone, MI

4 Daughters: Jean (Everett

Aunt Lorraine was always a special person described beautifully by the author of her obituary. As my God mother she faithfully sent a special birthday card with a note where she expressed her concern about my missing mom who passed away earlier that year.

We will miss Lauraine very much as we we’re very close to her she was like an adopted grandmother to me and my wife Debi. She was a resident in the apartments I ran as manager for four years until I moved back to Marquette area. Our earthly loss is our lord’s gain in heaven. As my wife quoted to me yesterday (Sunday 2/13) “Well done my good and faithful servant” that was Lauraine. I know she loved our lord and dearly loved all her family. We will miss her dearly.
