Ken Pickard passed away Friday morning, September 30, 2011 at Marquette General Hospital after a brief illness and surgery. He had most recently resided at Lakeview Assisted Living in Gladstone.
Born June 16, 1924 to August and Eva (Dahn) Pickard, Ken was a lifelong resident of Gladstone. He married Genevieve M. Murker on July 20, 1946. The couple had been married forty-six years when she preceded him in death in February, 1992.

    I always remember staying at Ken Pickards home when I was in 8th grade, in 1972, for the Community Schools Winter games.I always thought of the family when I traveled through Gladstone through the years. By reading his obituary, he will surly be missed. My sympathies to the family

    Our condolences to all the Pickard family. I’m sure John remembers watching the Packer games each Sunday afternoon with Mr. Pickard, betting a dime on the Packers and haggling over points. I think he let us win each time. Your dad was always so kind, I know how much you must be missing him. God Bless
