Kathleen (Kathy) Sue Collins 53, of 5235 19th Lane Gladstone died at home on Monday May 31, 2004 following a lengthily illness. She was born March 3, 1951 in Escanaba the daughter of Kenneth and Carol (Bergo) Sturdy and was a life long resident of this area.
Kathy was a 1969 graduate of the Escanaba High School and had attended Bay de Noc College. She had worked on the family mink ranch and was employed in the grocery industry for 26 years working for Red Owl, C & S Markets, Glenn

Kathy was an amazing,strong woman who opened her home to everyone. She always had a house full of friends, family, food, and laughter. We will always remember her as the beautiful woman she was, even when she was most ill. She is very sadly missed.

Kathy was my fellow high school graduate, my mentor at Glens Market and Super One Foods, and most of all a good friend. I learned so many things from her, know how and knowledge. She helped me through so many stressfull times at work, I knew that I could always count on her help and she was always there for me as well as anyone else that needed her help, and always with a smile and a positive attitude.
