Dear Helen, I am so sorry to hear about John’s death; he was always such a fun guy to be around years ago when I was married to John and when we would see you guys for family functions at Skip & Roses. The last time we saw him was about a year ago at the Stardust when Mike Kadletz’s band was playing and Porky (my new husband) and I were there dancing. Porky knew him also from the Mill and always said he was a real nice fella to know and be around as well. Please know our hearts go out to you at this time. I truly feel for your loss. My family came to know John & Helen through the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program. John was my son Jeff’s Big Brother. John was always in a good mood and it was contagious. Jeff always admired John as did I. Jeff is now 19 years old and serving in the Army in Baghdad. John vivsited me each year at Christmas time to catch up on how my family was doing & bring a box of Saykllys. We will miss him a great deal.
