Joanne Lorraine Besson, age 84, of the Manor of Whitehall in Whitehall, OH, (formerly of Gladstone) passed away Thursday morning November 12, 2009 at the Manor of Whitehall.
Joanne was born a twin daughter of William and Anna (King) Besson on October 26, 1925 in Escanaba. She was raised in Gladstone where she was a 1943 graduate of Gladstone High School. Joanne received her B.S. degree from Adelphi University on Long Island. She worked and retired from the U.S. Federal Government in the Department of Defense after 37 years of service.
Joanne was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Whitehall and her hobbies included gardening and camping.
Survivors include;
Brother: William Besson of Saginaw, MI
Sister: Mary Stachowic of Sayville, NY
Twin sister: Jeanne Amond of Edmore, MI
Numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa.
