Jeraldine “Jerry” Mae LaVigne, age 92, of Escanaba, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Jerry was born on November 25, 1929, in Manistique, the daughter of Archie and Babe Carpenter.

On July 3, 1949, Jerry was united in marriage to Orville LaVigne and together they shared many wonderful years making memories. Jerry and Orville worked for many years in store management, including when they owned their own store, Jerry & Orv’s Market.

Jerry is survived by her children, Guy LaVigne, Gary LaVigne, Garth (Letitia) LaVigne, Audette (Ed) Olson, and step-daughter Lynn (Carl) Cox. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, Babe and Archie, husband Orville LaVigne, sister Betty (Louis) Pucek, daughter-in-law Tina LaVigne, and several brothers and sisters in law.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Escanaba. Mass of Christian Burial honoring Jerry will follow visiting hours at 1 PM with Rev. Fr. Fran DeGroot officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Jerry will be laid to rest at the Moss Lake Cemetery.
