Peggy gave me your messages today. I thought this would be a good way to thank you all. It was like getting a big hug and kiss when I was reading all of the messages. Thank you. I’m glad you have so many memories of “Grandpa, Dad, Friend.” So do I miss him. I have had a day from “heaven”. 1st P.J. calls were going shopping. It only gets better. New frige (nice one) new stove (with glass top). Jim would say “maybe in the next life time”. Every time I use my new appliances he is in my thoughts. I’ve already baked my homemade bread. Back to my shopping day with P.J. He found me a real nice car. Just my size. 2005 Saturn Vue. Plus I got a new cell phone. One that takes pictures. Cool! House is looking good. Chad did a real nice job. With C.J. help it was done before you knew it. Aunt Dar stopped by. She likes it too. The best thing is having treasure memories of your Dad, Grandpa, and Freind. I have watched his small children grow into be beautiful people with real love and hearts made of gold. You must be so proud of your roots “good people” come from them. God love you all, you have made my life so full of love and good memories. Thank you again for being there for me. I think I can make thing work but not with out you all. I need you all in my life because their is a little of Jim in all of you. I miss him with all my heart. 0XXO Your Always Grandma, Mary. Grandpa Jim,
Living far away from you, it’s hard to believe that you’re really gone. It’s been two weeks since you left us and it still just feels like I haven’t seen you in a while… like I’ll see you again soon, over Christmas or maybe next summer. But I know that won’t happen because you’re no longer with us.
Though I ache thinking that my grandpa is gone, my heart goes out to my mom and aunts and uncles because they lost their father, a father who so obviously loved his children… a father who considered his children in every aspect of his life.
And while I can’t imagine losing my dad, it’s even harder to fathom losing my best friend. So my prayers especially go out to Mary, who I hope can overcome the pain of losing you. I promise to continue a good relationship with Mary, who I consider a second grandma and who you know considers all of us her own.
I treasure the memories I have of you and camp … the time you took me hunting while you sippped on your 40 oz. and we eventually shot a deer (you were so proud of me even though I wasn’t the one who actually shot the deer), riding around on the 4-wheelers, picking green beans from you garden, getting measured to see how much I grew since my last visit, and the delicious meals Mary would cook for us….
I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye grandpa. It doesn’t seem fair that you didn’t get to enjoy your retirement here on earth, but I know you’re enjoying your everlasting life, because God promised us you are and we will eventually join you. I love you and I miss you.
Thanks for everything you have done for me, your first-born grandaughter, Moe

Thinking of all of you at this time.
I remember having to search through all of our Vegas coins with James looking for those bi-centennial ones to take home to his Dad!
