James Rice, age 75, of the Rapid River area, died late Sunday afternoon at Marquette General Hospital. His wife, Mary, is listed among the survivors. Arrangements are pending at this time and further information will be forthcoming later by the Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County who are assisting the Rice family.

Words feel so empty now. Ironic being one of our joys in life was chating with Al, even arguing. Al was family, but most special he was our friend. How blessed we were to have had him for awhile. He was truly one of a kind.
It is so hard to in-vision such a strong man weak and suffering. Now we can be comforted by knowing he is strong, happy and actively trying to unite all of heaven under the sign of the elephant. God bless and comfort you by knowing Al is in celebration with family and old friends. In God’s time we will chat with him again.
