Gerald “Jerry” L. Anderson, age 57, of Gladstone, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Jerry was born January 17, 1961, the son of Walter and Lillian (Maki) Anderson.
Jerry was raised on the family farm in Gladstone with his seven brothers and one sister. He attended Gladstone High School and soon after, moved to Elgin, Illinois, where he worked for a printing company.

Upon returning to Gladstone, Jerry worked at Marina Bay for a short time and then for Larson Forest Products as a piece cutter. He cared for his mother, Lillian, bringing her to Marquette for dialysis three times a week.

In his younger years, he was a member of the Gladstone Men’s Pool League and Dart League. He looked forward to watching Nascar with his friends or listening to the race on the radio on Sundays.

Jerry loved gardening, caring for wildlife and nature, cooking, loved listening to music, cutting his grass, playing cribbage and enjoyed a bonfire with family and friends. He had a genuine spirit with a big heart, a loving smile and a hug for everyone. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Tim Anderson of Gladstone, MI.
Jeff (Lynne) Anderson of Escanaba, MI.
Randy Anderson of Gladstone, MI.
Sister: Sandy (Jim) Gunville of Gladstone, MI.
Daughter: Leanne (Micah) Broman of Gladstone, MI.
GrandDaughter: Alyssa (Cory) Murray of Gladstone, MI.
And many Nieces and Nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Gladstone American Legion on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Everyone is encouraged to share any stories about Jerry at 5pm with luncheon to follow. Jerry will be laid to rest in the Rapid River Cemetery. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Anderson family.

    Rest In Peace my sweet, loving brother. I will miss you so much and I know you’re in a better place now and pain free. Things will never be the same when I go out to our property and I don’t see you sitting in your chair outside or walking down the road to come visit us. Fly high with the angels! And as you would always say, “You know how much?”
