Fred “Pops” Lang, age 69, of 111 North 12th Street, Escanaba passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 7, 2011 at his residence.
Fred was born December 7, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Carl and Erona (Beck) Lang. Fred has resided in the Escanaba area for the last 30 years. He was employedby Performance Lumber in Carney for over 25 years, retiring in 2007. Fred was a very generous and caring man who loved to camp, hunt, fish, go shopping, go for walks, help the elderly and spend time with his family. His joy in life was to help others. He will be forever missed by family and friends.

2 sons: Derek (Shelli) Feathers of Bark River, MI; Brent (Lisa) Feathers of Georgetown, IN
3 daughters: Keri Feathers of Iron Mountian, MI; Jennifer Fellon of Cedarburg, WI; Christine Fix of Cedarburg, WI
3 grandchildren: Zack, Sterling, and Brittany Feathers
3 sisters: Donna Struckmeyer of Platteville, WI; Mary Haslam of Brooksfield, WI; Carla Haggerty of Fairville, WI
1 brother: Robert Lang of Waukesha, WI

Fred’s family will receive friends on Friday, April 15 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba. A luncheon will be served immediately following the visitation at the Salvation Army in Escanaba.
