I am SO thankful that I came up with mom and dad (Darlene and Elliot) way back in 1996. After that visit I started coming up a couple times a year. I loved getting to know the family. Looking back there are so many wonderful memories. If I had more vacation time and money I would have come up more. I can’t change the past but I am truly thankful for learning more about you. I know you and Bobby will take care of each other. I miss you both soooo much.

    Dear Tourangeau Family,

Wasn’t it just yesterday that I had Eric as a student in first grade? My heart goes out to you in this time of sadness. Flat Rock has lost such a pleasant industrious young man. Words seem so inadequate at a time like this. I wish I were there to hug all of you and to join you as I know many tears are being shed.

Eric had a special gift, he had an amazing ability to laugh in almost any situation, possessed a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. He always made me laugh, always shared our farming stories, was a very fun guy and I shall miss him very much. He was at our home many times and I was able to see sides of Eric, but he always had that brillian personality that he shared and showed to everyone he met. I know he is in a higher place, with no pain, and someday I know I will see him again. I hold his family in my deepest daily prayers. He will be truly missed by us all.

I have so many memories with Eric that I don’t even know where to start. We’ve known each other since 4th grade and graduated together in 99. I remember so many things from playing football on the playground at Flat Rock, camping trips, sledding, golfing, casino runs, and so much more. One of the last times I got to spend with Eric was actually one year ago this week when he came to Florida for Spring Break. I can’t believe that last year he was sleeping on my couch and enjoying a vacation and now he’s gone. I will always consider him one of my best friends and I will never forget the great times that we had.
