Elizabeth E. Way, age 54, of 2720 1st Avenue North, Escanaba, MI died Tuesday evening September 13, 2005 at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette following a brief illness with cancer.
Elizabeth was born November 21, 1950 in Hart, MI the daughter of Carlyle and Carolyn (Gingway) Reed. She was raised in Hart and was a 1969 graduate of Hart High School.

Liz was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa/Chippewa Indians. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, quilting and canning. She had a special love for all children and enjoyed making quilts for raffles, for the funds to be donated to orphanages and tribes.

Survivors include her husband Phillip who she married on February 25, 1974 in Hart, MI.

5 Brothers: Michael (Lorraine) Reed of Mears, MI; Rex (Linda) Reed of Houston, TX; Kenneth Reed of Rock Springs, Wyoming; William (Helena) Reed of Creue Couer, Missouri; Douglas (Laura) Reed of Bloomingdale, MI

2 Sisters: Leslie (Daryl) Olthoff of Kaleva, MI; Carol (Patrick Eitniear) Storms of Hesperia, MI

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Reed and a nephew, Robert Storms.

    Liz and I went to the same church.We graduated the same year Liz in Hart and I in Shelby.We enjoyed Catechism together.We hung around until we were 20 years old.I`m sorry to hear about her and will remember her always.
