Elaine June Duncan, age 87, of 1313 1st Avenue North, Escanaba, passed away Tuesday evening May 12, 2009 at the Christian Park Village, in Escanaba.
Elaine was born July 26, 1921, in Escanaba, the daughter of Robert and Edna (Martel) Rouse. She was raised in Escanaba and attended and graduated from the Escanaba schools. Following school, Elaine went on to attend schooling for the deaf, in Flint, MI, where she was taught sign language and lip reading. On February 9, 1948, Elaine was united in marriage to Harold Duncan at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Escanaba. Elaine was a very special lady. She was a special wife to her husband “Teddy”. I know she will be remembered in our daily prayers. My deepest thoughts to her family and devoted husband.
