0 Tributes for “Edward Perman

My sympathies and prayers are with the family of my former classmate, Eddie “Pitch” Perman. I’m so glad I got to see and visit with him at our last class reunion in 2007.

To the Perman Family. I meet some of you many yrs. ago. My name is Janet Nord LeDuc. I now live in Manistique, but was born in raised in Hardwood Mich. Ed (Or as we called him Rotten Eddie) used to hunt up there at “Charlies Camp”. As a matter of fact Ed bought a acre of land from my father Lawrence Nord. I can’t even begin to tell you all the GOOD memories I have of Ed but, I will try to remember a few. First I remember him coming up with lots of left over halloween candy when I was a little girl. Then he would leave money for the phone bill when he would call home to check on your mom & dad. He would also come with a old milk can to fill with water to bring back to camp. Then as I got a little older, I remember my dad & I would sneak over the hill & go & visit up at camp & have a few. When we got home & were a litte bit “silly” my mom would say right away “You two were up visiting rotten Eddie werent you?'”. We had many drinks on his bucks that he got. I also have a favorite picture were I am setting Eds hair. It is his one lock of hair he combed over. What a good laugh we had at that. As I grew a few yrs older & I was living on my own in Kipling Ed helped out with many of things, I think sometime he thought he was my keeper, cause he would sometimes not approve of some of the things a young independet spoided rotten girl would do. Hahahaha. I also remember stopping to have coffe & pobatacia (sp) with your mom & dad & Ed. I still have her recipe for it. I have never attempted to make it cause I just want to savor those special memories of sharing it with the Perman family. After your mom & dad passed I remember stopping to visit rotten Eddied & those darn dogs of him. I would make hime put them outside cause I was affraid they would eat me alive. I think one of them was named Buffy. I could go on & on, but just wanted to share a few good memories with you all. May he rest in piece & my thoughts & prayers will be with all of you as you go thru this difficult time.

Our condolence to Ed’s sisters. I lived across the alley from the Permans and we were close friends through high school and thereafter. Ed was in our wedding party. I used to stop in to visit with him whenever, we were back in Gladstone. He was a fine person and a lifelong friend. Art and Mary Lou Thivierge
