Earl Lloyd McNally, age 82, of Brampton (formerly of Trenary), passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday evening, December 14, 2020 due to complications following an automobile accident.

Earl was born June 8, 1938 at the home of his parents, Lawrence and Agnes (Howatte) McNally, in Trenary, MI. He was a dairy farmer most of his life but he also worked at Richmond and Holly Sawmill in Chat, MI.

Earl was United in marriage to the former Sally Ann Langson of Negaunee, MI, on July 1, 1961. They made their home in Sundell, MI, but later moved to Brampton, MI where they resided for their later years.

Earl was a faithful Christian who would help anyone who needed it. His hobbies included hunting, taking many trips with family and neighborhood kids, listening to country music, and reading the daily newspaper.

In addition to his loving wife and Parents, Earl is preceded in death by:
Brothers: Thomas (Mary Lou), Lawrence, George (Gloria).
Sisters: Libby (Malcolm, Lucille (Byron)
Two Sons: Lloyd David and Frederick Lawrence McNally.
Great Grandchildren: “Christmas Baby” and Earl W. McNally III.

Survivors include:
Son: Earl (Millie) McNally Sr., of Rapid River, MI
Daughter: Lisa Wickstrom of Escanaba, MI
13 Grandchildren
26 Great Grandchildren
7 Great Great Grandchildren
Sister: Dorothy (Raino) Hamalainen
Sister-In-Law: Joan (Lawrence) McNally
And many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and special friends that were like family.

A family memorial service will be held in the spring where Earl will be laid to rest next to Sally and their two baby boys in Munising, MI. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the McNally family.

    Earl and Sally were wonderful people, caring and loving. I never saw one without the other; now they are together again.

    To our favorite former neighbor, Earl McNally, thank you for the kind visits every so often, helping on projects etc. May you rest in peace, we have and will not forget you. We offer our condolences to your family during this trying time.

    Uncle you’ll forever be loved and missed. Still seems unreal. Thank you for all the memories and love you shared. Family my prayers and heart is with each one of you.

    Earl and Sally were both like family to me and my family. My brothers and sister went to school with their son and daughter (Earl jr) and Lisa. They babysat me. My parents visited them and they visited us and there was always plenty of laughs and coffee. I can’t express my sorrow and sadness when I heard of his passing. But I’m also relieved he’s not in pain anymore and he’s reunited with Sally , (probably having laughs with my mom and dad) in heaven.

    On behalf of the Henderson family, my condolences to your family on their loss of a GREAT MAN. His laughter, humor, and kindness will be missed. You were loved by many Earl. And your memory will live on.

    Alot of good memories. Going to miss your sense of humor good laughs and your big heart. Only guy I knew who could set fire crackers off in hands make a fist and not flinch! Fly high Earl find peace with Sally and may you rest in peace

    I love you Uncle Earl Christmas and everything won’t be the same you always came down and joined with us I will miss you playing with the kids and making them laugh so hard and your dogs are stayed by your side I miss you so much and I miss Aunt Sally so much but I’m glad you’re together and you guys are handsome and beautiful angel and my grandpa has his best friend up there I will always love you and miss you Uncle

    I have so many wonderful memories of Earl, Sally, Lisa & “Little Earl”. Earl was always so joyful. He worked hard, and knew how to laugh and enjoy his family and friends. Earl and Sally were so warm and welcoming. I remember, when visiting as a kid, Earl came home smelling of cow manure and offering a hug and me trying to escape him! Now You’re home with Sally. But you leave an empty spot in the hearts of those that loved you. Praying for comfort to his closest family and friends. I love you Lisa, BIG HUGS.

    I love you grandpa thank you for everything you and grandma taught me to make me into who I am today and I will always be thankful for everything you guys have done for me in life and for my kids and my husband when he was alive I couldn’t have asked God for better grandparents I love you so much until we meet again I love you! P.S. tell grandma hi for me I miss our long talks

    Earl may U rest in Peace and I know you are with Sally, we sure had alot of good Memories when got together on any events Hunting Ect. Until we meet again, U will be Missed by everyone who knew You and Sally and your Family.

    We are so very sorry for your loss of a great Uncle. I remember all the good times we have had when we visited Uncle Earl & Aunt Sally. We will miss you. We are glad we looked you up in June of 2019. R.I.P. Uncle Earl. Until we meet again.

    I miss u alot I miss the smiles that used to put on the kids’ face in the laughing when you used to play around with them I love renewing my grandma and grandpa and Aunt Sally would sit around the table and bullshit and laugh and have snacks and coffee together I’m going to miss every bit of the holidays because you came and joined us for dinner but I know you’re in heaven with Aunt Sally and my grandpa so I know you’re happy you’re all handsome and beautiful angels

    I met Earl at Webster picking up his Great Granddaughter. He was always so friendly and kind. I always looked forward to seeing him. He was always so proud of his family and his heratage. Learned a lot about the family farm and what everyone did. Our visits were short but I enjoyed his company until the kids came out. He would have a smile on his face and was kind to everyone. You all had a great role model in your life. So sorry for your loss.

    So sorry to hear 🙁 Earl and Sally were such generous people. Lisa and Earl you are in my prayers.
