Doris E. Costley, formerly of 9284 M-35, Wells Township, passed away peacefully, early Sunday morning December 26, 2010, at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba, where she currently resided.
Doris was born December 15, 1912, in Northland, the daughter of James and Sophia (Dishaw) Costley and graduated from the St. Joseph Catholic High School in Escanaba. She went on to enroll with the Sisters of Notre Dame, where she studied for 3 years, before accepting a position with the City of Escanaba, working as a meter reader until her retirement. Doris was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Wells, and in her younger years, the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Escanaba. She was very active with women

I just heard of my Aunt Doris’ passing today. She was the last of the Costleys’. I sent her a letter a couple of months ago and it was returned to me as address unknown.May she rest in peace for all eternity.
