Aunt Donna: Miigwech, for the fish you so willingly shared at your table, for the stories you shared and for the way in which you cared. Most of all, thank you for the belly laugh at the Pow-Wow when you saw me riding across “the plains” with spear in hand right toward you. Your sweet smile and loving ways are forever etched in my memory. May your family take comfort in the strength of your song.

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept my condolences, she will not be forgotten. –
