Diane Huyck11/30/1950-01/27/2013

I began my journey growing up on a family farm outside Fowler, Michigan. A much simpler time filled with the best memories anyone could ever wish for, thanks to my loving parents and wonderful siblings.

After I graduated from Fowler High School, I began a 30-year career in the art of hairdressing. Throughout my 30 years, I was blessed with many great clients who became wonderful friends. We shared so much together over the years, from births, school stories, proms, graduations, weddings, and sadly, sickness and death. I want you all to know I cherished our times together and I looked forward to each and every visit so we could catch up on what had transpired in our lives since our last visit.

I was also blessed after I retired to work side by side with my best friend and soul mate, Mark. From our vantage point at Marko’s, I was able to keep in contact with all of my friends and make more great friendships along the way. I love the way our close knit community is joined together with a social glue that not many in this day and age have had the privilege of experiencing.

I have lived a magnificent life and have been fortunate to have traveled to many beautiful places in this world. I have treasured many great times with family, friends and neighbors. Spending time around campfires, picnic tables, our house and your house. Attending graduations, weddings, and yes, sadly wakes and funerals.
To my 16 nieces and nephews, I love you all so very much as if you were my own. Watching you grow to become the beautiful, successful, kindhearted people that you have become, has truly been a wonderful experience for me.

To my family and friends, do not be sad at my passing. Keep a warm memory of the many good times we shared close to your heart. When you happen to think of a time that we shared, please know that I believe we will all meet again at a better time in a better place.

Love,

Diane

Mark and family, so sadden by Diane’s passing. Please know that you are in our hearts and prayers. Diane was one of the first people I got to know in Sunfield when she became my hairdresser.
