8 Tributes for “Denise Sayklly

Denise was on WBDN with Bruce Nelson. She was also the voice at the Fair long ago. I first met her on the C.B. Radio. She went by Moonbeam, and I went by Shocker. After that she would come by and pick up me and some other C.B. Friends and we go down Ludington street and have Chinese Fire Drills. I remember once, I had some how gotten in the driver’s seat. Denise looked at me and said “what’s the matter Bud?” I told her I didn’t know how to drive. She is the one who told me to join the Escanaba group on Facebook to share my pictures with many people, because they were really good. I did that and made many friends. I would see her fishing with her Granddaughter down by the Water Plant. In recent years, she would buy chocolates from me when I was selling them for the Senior Companion Program. One thing I knew about Denise is, she had a really big heart and cared for everyone. That is how I will remember her.

Denise, So sorry to hear of your passing. You were a special person to us. You gave Richard and I one of the biggest Joy’s of our life. Her name was Tukeers. I enjoyed showing you all the pictures of her as she was growing up. I pray you meet in heaven. And can enjoy each other until we meet again. Rest in peace my friend. Richard and Faye Norby

Denise will be truly missed. Always looked forward to seeing her at the casino when I was in town. Prayers and condolences to the family

Denise and I were related. Her father was a brother to Fred Sayklly. After Fred’s first wife died, a number of years later He married my Aunt Catherine Skopp Lasnowski! I guess that made us 2nd Cousins!! She always had a smile and would go out of her way to help anybody. She is now pain free and in a “far, far better place”
